Alberto Ristache

1st Year DPhil Student

I'm originally from Amarastii de Jos, a small town near Craiova in Romania. I obtained my MSci degree in Chemistry from University College London where I undertook an RSC-funded summer research project under the supervision of Dr Bob Schroeder working on the synthesis of novel self-healing organic semiconducting polymers. For my final year, I returned to the Schroeder group where I continued working on the synthesis of new self-healing organic semiconductors that could be used for skin-wearable electronics. I joined the Dixon group in 2023, where I focus my research on bifunctional organocatalysis. In my free time, I enjoy playing football, pool, and reading.
