Charmaine Poh

4th Year SBM DPhil Student

I'm originally from Singapore, and I competed my BSc at Imperial College London in 2018. In my final year, I worked with Prof. Anthony Barrett on the synthesis of nucleosides. After a year working on peptide synthesis at A*STAR in Singapore, I came to Oxford to complete a DPhil in Synthesis for Biology and Medicine (SBM CDT), funded by A*STAR. I joined the Dixon group in 2020, focusing my research on asymmetric organocatalysis. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing the piano and the harp, and being involved in church.
