Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Originally, I am from a German wine region called Palatinate. For my chemistry studies, I moved to Munich, where I completed my bachelor's studies at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in 2017. During my master's studies, I focussed on organic and inorganic chemistry and decided to join Prof. Thorsten Bach (TUM) in the field of total synthesis in 2019. During my doctoral studies, I completed the first total synthesis of the polyketide enterocin and its derivatives aiming for enhanced stability and increased biological activity. After I defended my PhD thesis in April 2023, I moved to Oxford to join the Dixon lab and gain new insights into the development of BIMP-catalysed reactions in September 2023. In my free time, I enjoy playing hockey, drinking wine, and playing card games.
