4th Year DPhil Student

I completed my undergrad degree in Chemistry at King Abdulaziz University (KAU). While at KAU, I had the opportunity to do an internship in the Rawson group at the University of Windsor in Canada, and I worked on the synthesis and characterization of 1,10-phenanthroline dithiadiazolyl radicals. Then I joined the Chemistry Department at the University of Alberta in Canada where I obtained my MSc under the supervision of Professor F. G. West and worked on designing and implementing a new generation method of strained cyclic allenes, along with studying their inter- and intramolecular trapping processes. In 2019, I joined the Dixon group, where my project is in the area of designing new iridium catalysts. Outside of lab, I enjoy photography, hiking, and trying new restaurants.
