Visiting Student

I was born and raised in Italy and obtained my MSc in Chemistry in 2023 from the University of Milan under the supervision of Prof. Pierfausto Seneci, working on triazine functionalisation for the synthesis of biologically active small molecules. I am currently pursuing a PhD through a collaboration between the University of Milan, under the supervision of Prof. Valerio Fasano, and Chiesi Farmaceutici in Parma, focusing on the synthesis of novel boron-containing active pharmaceutical ingredients and the selective functionalisation of N-heterocycles. As part of the third and final year of my PhD, I joined the Dixon group as a visiting student for six months, where I am working on BIMP-catalysed desymmetrisation reactions. Outside the lab, I enjoy swimming, travelling and reading.
