Maud Tregear

1st Year DPhil Student
Originally from London, I moved to Oxford for my undergraduate degree where I completed my Masters project in the Russell Group on the synthesis of naphthyl bioisosteres. I also completed three summer internships, working in the Bruce Group at Oxford on designing anodeless solid-state batteries, with Professor Jonathan Morris at UNSW Sydney on an improved synthesis of deoxyvariolin B, and at AstraZeneca where I worked on widening the use of electrochemistry in the pharmaceutical industry. I joined the Dixon Group in 2024 to work on developing novel methodologies to apply to natural product synthesis. In my free time I compete in modern pentathlon, netball and running and enjoy baking and reading.
