Postdoctoral Research Associate
I was born in Munich, but mainly raised in Regensburg, a beautiful town in southern German. After spending a year doing voluntary work in Argentina, I returned to Munich and obtained a BSci degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from LMU. For my subsequent master’s studies, I decided to focus entirely on chemistry. My time at the LMU was complemented by research stays at the ICIQ (Spain) with Prof. A. Echavarren and the university of Innsbruck (Austria) with Prof. T. Magauer. For my PhD studies I moved to the MPI in Muelheim an der Ruhr where I worked on air-stable catalysts for alkyne metathesis and other applications of tripodal tris-silanolate ligands under the guidance of Prof. A. Fuerstner. I joined the Dixon group in 2025, working on the development of photocatalytic methods for organic synthesis. In my (little) free time I enjoy reading, a good debate and running the occasional half marathon.
