Tess Holmes

MChem Student, St Hugh's College
I was born in Grand Cayman and have since lived in Spain and England. I am currently completing my MChem at Oxford, carrying out my Part II research in the Dixon Group developing a catalytic method for the desymmetrisation of cyclic substrates. My previous research experience includes work in the Baker Group at UCL designing a novel class of Click-to-Release reactions, in the Spiegel Group at Yale University synthesising and evaluating bifunctional degrader molecules targeting extracellular proteins as well as at WNWN Food Labs developing cacao-free chocolate. Outside the lab, I enjoy reading, hiking, travel and good food.
